December 2023

HART is planning its next project. Top priority is raising funds for it. We are considering building a new home or renovating another existing home based on market conditions. Would you care to contribute?

November 2023

Renovations to the home are complete. Several area businesses contributed materials. Volunteers updated the home’s landscaping. A local resident has been selected as the buyer and the sale has closed. Congratulations to all.

June 2023

Renovations begin on our first home. The group is also seeking donations of building materials to stretch the budget.

March / April 2023

HART members begin identifying a pool of interested buyers through communications with schools, public safety agencies, healthcare providers, and Chamber members.

February 2023

Northern Homes completes the purchase of one of the homes identified in January and begins planning renovations.

January 2023

Northern Homes receives 2 generous grants from local foundations to bring the community land trust concept to Harbor Springs. HART begins looking at several projects that could be feasible and identifies an excellent opportunity.

July 2022

HART website goes live! Our group is focused on sharing the Community Land Trust idea. We are available to speak with your civic organization, coffee group, book club, etc. We are considering whether and when to launch with broader publicity and to begin accepting donations.
